PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Major Site Development Review, Minor Use Permit, Traffic Study
•Increase student enrollment from 600 to 750 students
•Construct a new 3-story, 38,658 SF middle school and gymnasium building
•Nighttime lighting and landscaping for existing baseball field
•Landscaping for the new school and gym
•Improve Newport Coast Drive by extending the left turn lane on Newport Coast Drive and Coyote Canyon Landfill Renewable Energy Facility

BACKGROUND

November 3, 1998: County of Orange approved Use
Permit No. PA97-0173 for Sage Hill High School (grade
9-12) and a Zone Change to increase the height to 65’.
September 26, 2000: Property annexed to City of
Newport Beach
2007-2021: City approved several staff approvals for
buildout of the high school, including grade expansion
for Kindergarten to grade 12.
