HomeMy WebLinkAboutSS2 - Presentation - Shirley Pepys - Proclamation/PhotosWEP�,EAS, Shirley Bepys has drought joy to countless children and children -at -heart with her house on Balboa Island known as "The Penguin Mouse ; a home that has been named a Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade Ring of Lights competition winner,• and IE E.X S, starting in 1989, Shirley Tepys served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Orangewood Foundation, which is a program that assists foster children and provides community youth services; and E1 f7S, with a small group, Shirley Tepys helped start the Orangewood Foundation's Advanced Studies Program, which has provided seven -figures worth of scholarships to foster youth, helping over 75 students complete advanced degrees or certificate programs, earning masters and doctorates in a variety of fields; and %VMP S, Shirley Pepys has served on the Bal6oa Island .9liuseum and JfistoricaCSociety 6oard of directors for over a decade, which included a 5-year stint as President starting in 2015; and IVMU, U, Shirley Pepys remains committed to the educational and historic preservation efforts of the museum and regularly helps raise significant donations toward the cause.
