My husband and I live on K Thanga Drive and have been directly impacted by the construction of 1119 Dolphin Terrace
for the last three plus years. Please find below photos taken today of what our street has been subjected to for the last
few years. In addition to 1119 Dolphin Terrace under constant construction, two remodels were approved on K Thanga
Drive adding to the excessive noise, traffic, and rude behavior from the workers. I don't understand why the NB
planning department and the Irvine Terrace architectural committee does not stage the three homes construction so the
community is not impacted by all of these factors compounded three times in a concentrated area.
In the first photo below, today is a light parking day on K Thanga, most days see many more parked vehicles and
double parking is the norm. In the second photo is a typical day when our driveway is impacted by one truck or another,
this requires us to find the owner to move the vehicle to be able to exit our garage. In the third photo is a street
blockage with no warning from the city, Irvine Terrace HOA, or the homeowner notifying the neighbors of the street
closure. We are all tired of the workers' trash, porta potties in our view with no attempt at concealment and the aromas
they share, and the constant noise that starts before 7:00am, remains well past 6:00pm, and the workers that work on
Sundays with no oversight from the city or the HOA.
I am asking the city to reconsider the six month extension of this property, approve three months and not six. Six
months will impact the holiday season again. Last year this home did major electrical work requiring half the homes in
Irvine Terrace to be without power from 10:00am‐2:00pm on the Friday before Christmas. The work was not completed
as scheduled, the neighborhood was without power until 9:30pm.. The community needs a break and a relaxing holiday
season.
Thank you.
