LANDSCAPE INSTALLATION CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
I hereby certify that:
(1) 1 am a professional appropriately licensed in the State of California to provide
professional landscape design services.

(3) The landscaping for the identified property has been installed in substantial
conformance with the approved Landscape Documentation Package and complies with
the requirements of the City of Newport Beach Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance
(Municipal Code Section 14.17) and the City of Newport Beach Standards for
Implementation of the City of Newport Beach Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance for
the efficient use of water in the landscape.
(4) The following elements are attached hereto:
a. Irrigation scheduling parameters used to set the controller;
b. Landscape and irrigation maintenance schedule;
c. Irrigation audit report; and
d. Soil analysis report, if not submitted with Landscape Documentation Package,
and documentation verifying implementation of the soil report
recommendations.
(5) The site installation complies with the following:
a. The required irrigation system has been installed according to approved plans
and specifications and if applicable, any prior approved irrigation system
alternatives.

The purpose of the irrigation audit is to evaluate the installation and performance of the newly installed
irrigation system with respect to its efficient application of water as a condition for final building
permits.
The irrigation system was designed by Savage Land Design, Fullerton, California under Registered
Landscape Architect Michael Savage, RLA 4397. Plans and detail drawings dated December 2022 were
provided for use during the audit.
The irrigation system was observed on Thursday, March 21, 2024. The landscape contractor was
present during the audit.
The weather during the audit was 70 degrees, mostly sun, and no wind.

A new Hunter Pro C, 10 station smart conventional controller was selected for the residence. The
Irrigation controller was mounted outside the residence with rain/weather sensor installed.

The irrigation system was observed to have the following changes:
Tree Irrigation
Tree irrigation was converted from (2) bubblers to a single bubbler. Irrigation system provides
supplemental tree irrigation per MWELO.

The installed irrigation system meets standard irrigation practices for residential irrigation systems. The
contractor will coordinate with the owner to input the maturity irrigation schedules into the irrigation
controller.
