That the location of the proposed pole sign is compatible with surrounding land uses and is consistent with other sign encroachments that have been approved by the City on the adjoining property. 2. To the north of the project site, is vacant property, and across Campus Drive is the John Wayne Airport; to the east, across MacArthur Boulevard, is the MacArthur Court office complex; to the south, are support commercial uses and restaurants; and to the west, is an office building and related uses. k As shown in the attached plot plan and-levations submitted by the applicant, :,.ere are three proposed wall sign groupings and one freestanding pole sign proposed on the subject nroaerty. r: TO: Planning-Com2aiission - 3 approximately 30 square feet of area. The aggregate total square footage of these three wall signs will equal approximately 90 square feet. The signage on the easterly elevation, is the only signage that will be visible from the on -site parking lot adjacent to MacArthur Boulevard. The applicant has indicated that the existing trees located along the easterly side of the building are to be removed, The existing configuration of the building restricts the applicant from combining the three `signs into a single sign structure which would further reduce the number of signs proposed. gtnpos!:d Pole Sier< The freestanding, double-faced pole sign measures approximately 15 feet high by 10 feet wide with approximately 100 square feet of copy on each side and is currently located near the southeasterly entrance to the subject property. The applicant proposes to modify and relocate the sign northerly along the easterly property line to align approximately with the center of the building. The following list shows the number of street frontages, the number and type of signage present on other banks and financial institutions in the vicinity of the subject property. These institutions are all located on MacArthur Boulevard between Campus Drive and Jamboree Road except for`Sunwest Bank which is located on the southerly side of Campus Drive east of MacArthur Boulevard.
