Newport Beach Police Department
CONTRACT: The following agreement is entered into by the City of Newport Beach, acting on behalf
of the Newport Beach Police Department, 870 Santa Barbara Dr., Newport Beach, CA 92660 and
Anteater Sports Properties, LLC, authorized to enter into this contract on behalf of the University of
California, Irvine Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. The period of performance (hereinafter
"Term") of this contract will be from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.
Anteater Sports Properties will provide Newport Beach Police Department the following during
the term of this agreement:
1. Bren Events Center— Courtside LED Signage
• Newport Beach Police Department will receive LED courtside signage at all Men's and
Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Volleyball, and other events held at the Bren
Events Center. Signage will rotate with other partners, is TV visible, and will be displayed on
the East and West sides of the court.
2. Tabling
• Newport Beach Police Department will have the opportunity to table at five (5) UC Irvine
home basketball games throughout each season to get in front of students and fans.
3. Video Board/PA Announcements
• Newport Beach Police Department will receive video board displays and PA Announcements
(when applicable) at all major sporting events held on the campus of UC Irvine. These sports
include Men's & Women's Basketball, Baseball, Men's & Women's Volleyball, and Men's &
Women's Soccer.
4. Official Partner— Logo/IP Rights
• Newport Beach Police Department will have the right to utilize UC Irvine Athletics' official
marks, name, and logo in sales, marketing, or advertising material. All material must have
prior written approval from Helen Hsueh, Assistant Athletic Director— Fan Experience &
Licensing.
Newport Beach Police Department will provide Anteater Sports Properties the following:
Sponsorship Fee 2024-25: $5,000.
Payment Schedule - $5,000 due July 1, 2024
All changes or amendments to this agreement must be agreed to by both parties in writing. In the event of
any dispute to enforce the terms of this agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover its
reasonable costs but shall not be entitled to its attorney fees.
Newport Beach Police Department shall have the right, at its sole and absolute discretion and without cause,
of terminating this Agreement at any time upon no less than seven (7) calendar days' prior written notice. In
the event of termination under this Section, Newport Beach Police Department and Anteater Sports
Properties to mutually agree upon payment.
