It seems like we are putting out the fire instead of fireproofing. Is there a possibility of
in some way limiting plastics, balloons, single serving utensils, single use water
bottles, plastic/styrofoam take out containers, plastic take out bags? Other cities have
made a conscious effort to prevent these items from hitting our beaches and
waterways by simple legislation.
Tourism is dependent on clean beaches and waterways. We need to address the
problem not clean up after the fact.
