HomeMy WebLinkAboutSS4 - Presentation - Trauma Intervention Program - Proclamation/PhotosUWEPgAS, Trauma Intervention program of Orange County (TIP) is a chapter of Trauma Intervention Programs, Inc., a national non profit organization founded in 1985 in San Diego County and serving Orange County since its formation in 1995; and WERgAS, the mission of TIT is to reliably provide emotionalemergency relief assistance to survivors of tragedy in order to ease their primary suffering and facilitate their healing and long term recovery; and U,Y&UAS, TIP volunteers are called on 6y tocalfire departments, law enforcement agencies and hospitalstaff 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to meet the on -scene needs of victims, families, friends, witnesses and bystanders 6y providing immediate emotionalsupport and necessary practical resources; and `W'XtEW�EAS, over the past twelve months, VP's 115 dedicated and highly trained volunteers have served first responders by contributing more than 60, 000 volunteer hours peryear to Orange County residents with a caring presence, connecting those experiencing trauma with services and resources.
