GENERAL NOTES
1. THE CONSTRUCTION OF ALL PUBLIC.IMPROVEMENTS SHALL CONFORM
TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE NEWPORT BEACH CONSTRUCTION
STANDARDS AND THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS
CONSTRUCTION 1985 EDITION AND SUPPLEMENTS.
2. EXISTING UNDERGROUND UTILITIES ARE SHOWN AS PER AVAILABLE
RECORDS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING
THE ACTUAL LOCATION AND ELEVATION IN THE FIELD PRIOR TO
BEGINNING CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW FACILITIES.
3. ALL UNDERGROUND woR·K SHALL BE COMPLETE PRIOR TO PAVING OF
STREETS AND DRIVEWAYS.
4. SEWER MANHOLES SHALL BE LEFT BELOW PAVEMENT GRADE AND
BROUGHT TO FINISH GRADE AFTER PAVEMENT IS IN PLACE.
5. ALL SEWER AND WATERPIPE SHALL BE BEDDED PER CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH STD. 106-L.
6. THE CONTRACTORS SHALL REQUEST INSPECTION FROM PUBLIC WORKS
48 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF PERFORMING ANY WORK (644-3311).
7. AN ENCROACHMENT PERMIT IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO STARTING ANY WORK
WITHIN THE PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY.
