CONSTRUCT~ON PLANS FOR THE ~MPROVEMENT OF
i, This note here!n incorporates, by references, those general notes numbered 1
i.hough 22 of Public Facilities and Resources Depurtmcnt (PF&RD) Standard Pkm
1801, 7 996 Edition.
2. The developer/contractor shot! have o copy of the current PF&RD Standard Pians
on the construdior. site at all times.
3. The developer shall telephone PF&RD/Construction at 567-7800 at least 24-hours
prior ·to starting construction work subject to PF&RD inspection.
4. PF&f<D Encroachment Permit Required. County approved plans do not relieve
contractor /deve!oper from responslbflity to obtain public property permit which shai1
be available on the job at al! times work is being accornpiished in the public right
of way.
5. A!! concrete curb end gutter flow lines witr1 less than 11/~ grade shall be water
tested prior to final finishing to insure proper drainage without unocceptobie high or
!ow spots.
6. All utility trench backfiU and compaction inspection outside Hie limits of dedicated
street right ot way shall be performed by Plonn!ng and Deveiopment Services.
7. All damoqed concrete sldewa!ks or curbs shall be sow cut to the nearest
transverse sCore mark or adjustable controi point or weakened plane joint and
replaced in conformance with the app!iccb!e provisions of PF&RD Standard Plans.
8. Developer shall mai.ntoin adjacent streets 1n a neat, dean, dust-free and sanitGry
ccndttion at ai1 limes and to the satisfaction of County"s inspector. The adjacent
streets shoii be kept dean of debris, with dust and .other nuisances being controlled
at a!l times. Deve!oper shall be responsible for any c.!ean up on adjacent streets
off ected by this construction. Method of street cleaning sha!! be by dry sweeping of
ail paved areas, No stockpiling of building materlo!s within the County right of way
without permissl:::m of County" s inspector.
9. Prior to f:no! accep_tance of ,street improvements, o!i strBet pavernent1 striping and
stenciling within the perimeter of the construction projects wil: be restored to a "Hke
new" condition, in a manner meeting \ho approval of \he Director of PF&RD. All
striping and stenciling shall be according to Standard Pian No. 1801, Note 18.
10. T raffle shall be maintained at oil times Qnd shall be protected with adequate
barricades, lights, signs ond warning devices as per the current State of California,
Deportment of Transportation, Manual of Traffic Controls and to the directions of lhe
County's inspector.
11. PF&RD Standard Plans shdl take precedence over any conflicts e:-:cept for
Standard P!ans affecting utility companies, if their standards ere more strlngenL
12. Any utilities under paved areas of private streets shall have a mlnlrnum of 30"
cover ond developer shall provide private laboratory compaction c~1rtlflcatior; for al!
underground utiiities prior to any paving. Developer shcli set up a meeting with the
inspector and the private laboratory prior to any testing.
i 3. AC. pove:nent under carports/roofs shall be slurry sealed in cccordcnce with
Section 302-4 "Emu1s;on -Aggregate Slurry" or the Standard Specification for Public
Works Construction, 1997 Edition, before the final acceptance.
14. Ai! traffic marking end striping sha!! be stencils, which conform to California
Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) non-metric standard.

approval.
1 6, Sur-1ey munuments shall be preserved and referenced before construction and
replaced after construction pursuant to Section 8771 of the Business and
Professional Code.
