pi-ior to tb_e placement of fill in each respeetlve canyon.
The exact tocation of the subdrains shall be surv~yed in the field for line and grade.
ALL t~h backfil\& shnll be: convacted throughout to a mini!IUII of 90 perc~nt relative carpacticn, end APPROVED
BY THE SOll.S ENGINEER. The Suilding Department may require coring o1 concrete ftet ~ placed over untested

Landscaping of all slopes end pods shall be in accord&nu with Chapter 15 of the NSMC.
AU cut slopes shat\ be investigated both durinQ and after grading by an engineering geologist to detemine if
any $tabflity problecn exists. Shcutd excavation disctosl? any 9eolcgical hazards or potential 9eo-t09ical
hazards, the engfMering: geolo;ist shall rectinmQ:nd and stlmlit necessary treatment to the City Grading, Engineer

Uhere support or buttressing of cut and natural slopes is de-temined to be necessary by the engineertng
g.eotogfst and soils engineer, the soils engineer will cbtain appr-ovat of design, locatfon and ealculatfons from
the City -Grading Engineer prier to construction.
The engineering geologist and soils engineer shall inspect and test the construction of all bJttress fiUs and
attest to the stability of the slope-and adjacent structures upon C'Cffl)letfon. •
When cut pads are b1"0Ulht to near grade the engineering geologist shaU determine if the bedrock is ext-ensively
fractured or faulted and uilt readily transmit water. If considered necessary by the engineering geologist and
soil$ engineer, a coa,,acted fill blanket will be placed.
The engineering geologist shat\ perform periodic inspections durinu grading.
