Contractor to match adjacent grades when reconstructing pavement. Topographic survey shall be conducted by Contractor to re-establish grades and flowlines for new pavement to the satisfaction of the Engineer. B. Unless specified otherwise on the plans and/or details or directed by the Engineer, trench resurfacing shell be with Af:-Pavement. Af:-pavement shall be hot-mix a minimum 1 • Thicker than existing AC section but no less than 4" AC thickness for full width of trench, including any extension beyond trench section {minimum). C. All remoVC1ls shall be sawcut as indicated or to nearest expansion joint as directed by the Engineer. D. Existing utility surface vaults, valve covers & manhole covers shall be protected in-place and reset to be flush with new pavement surface where affected by work. E. Contact joints with existing AC pavement shall be tack coated prior to placing new pavement section per Greenbook Specifications. F. Backfill end Bedding shall be per City Std-106-L. otherwise subgrade shall be prepared per Greenbook specifications. G. The Contractor is responsible for maintaining trench stability and adjacent paving. Any excavation or trench wall caving, or adjacent pavement failure, resulting from the Contractor"s operations, is the responsibility of the Contractor at no additional cost to the City. PREPARED BY : Concrete Alley Gutters· I!] A Concrete clley guttera shall be protected in piece except where new water or sewer pipelines are installed. Trench resurfacing shall be with Af:- Pavement. AC pavement shall be hot-mix a minimum 1" Thicker than existing AC section but no less than 4" AC thickness. 8. Contractor to match adjacent grades when joining concrete alley gutter in trench areas. C. Subgrade Sholl be prepared end compacted per Greenbook specifications. 0. All removals shall be sawcut as Indicated or to nearest expansion joint or as directed by the Engineer. NO. Contractor shall resurface trenches for water service with hot-mix a minimum 1 • Thicker than existing Af:-section but no less then 4 • Af:-thickness far full width of trench over compacted backfill. C. Contractor to provide for temporary water service & bypass during service replacement per project specifications. Maximum service bypass setup shall not exceed the length of 1 alley segment between nearest intersecting streets or alleys. Water line installation work & bypass shell be completed to the satisfaction of the City inspector before next segment of alley water line work is initiated.
