ALL WORK SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION (GREENBOOK), 2015 EDITION AND ALL SUPPLEMENTS, THE CALTRANS STANDARD PLANS, DATED 2015, THE CALIFORN IA MANUAL ON UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVIC ES (CA MUTCD, REV. 4), DATED MARCH 2019, THESE PLANS, AND THE CllY OF NEWPORT BEACH STANDARDS AND POLICIES. 2. THE LAYOUT FOR ALL PROPOSED PAVEMENT MARKINGS AND/OR TRAFFIC STRIPING SHALL BE "PRE-MARKED" AND/OR "CAT-TRACKED" FOR INSPECTION BY THE ENGINEER OR THEIR REPRESENTATIVE PRIOR TO FINAL APPLICATION OF PAVEMENT MARKINGS OR STRIPING. 4. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, FINAL STRIPING SHALL BE REFLECTOR IZED THERMOPLASTIC AND SHALL BE APPLIED AT 0.45MM THICKNESS FOR ALL STRIPING EXCEPT CROSSWALKS AND LIMIT LINES, WHICH SHALL BE 0.90 MM THICKNESS. 5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE ALL CONFLICTING TRAFFIC STRIPING AND PAVEMENT MARK INGS BY WET SANDBLASTING OR OTHER METHOD APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER OR THEIR REPRESENTATIVE. 6. BUFFERED BIKE LANES SHALL INCLUDE DIAGONAL STRIPES BETWEEN BIKE LANE AND BUFFER STRIPE. THE DIAGONAL STRIPE SHALL BE 6 INCH WHITE AT 45 DEGREE ANGLE, AND PLACED AT 40 FOOT INTERVALS. 7. GREEN BACKGROUND FOR BIKE LANE PAVEMENT MARKINGS SHALL BE METHYL METHACRYLATE RESIN (MMA) TREATMENT AND SHALL BE CYCLEGRIP® MMAX COLORED BIKE LANE IN E-F BIKE LANE GREEN OR APPROVED ALTERNATIVE. 8. THE EXACT LOCATION OF ALL PERMANENT SIGNAGE SHALL BE ACCEPTED BY THE ENGINEER OR THEIR REPRESENTATIVE PRIOR TO APPLICATION. 9. INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNS SHALL BE INSTALLED ON NEW POSTS, EXISTING POSTS, OR EXISTING STREET LIGHTS WITH NEW BRACKETS AND STAINLESS STEEL HARDWARE. ALL SIGNS INSTALLED ON BICYCLE SIDEWALKS SHALL PROVIDE 8 FT MIN. CLEARANCE TO BOTTOM OF SIGN (EXCEPT R26 OR R28 SIGNS). SEE CllY STANDARD DRAWING NO . 924-L. 10. R81(CA) SIGNS TO BE 12"x8".
