5. FOR ALL TRENCHING EXCAVATIONS FOUR (4) FEET OR MORE IN DEPTH, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN A PERMIT FROM THE CALIFORNIA
OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION (OSHA) DIVISION OF SAFETY PRIOR TO BEGINNING ANY EXCAVATION. A COPY OF THIS
PERMIT SHALL BE AVAILABLE AT THE CONSTRUCTION SITE AT ALL TIMES.
6. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO OBTAIN ALL REQUIRED POWER AND WATER SUPPLIES FOR HIS/HER NEEDS FOR THE
ENTIRE PROJECT DURATION. POWER CAN BE PURCHASED FROM SCE AND PROVIDED WITHIN THE TREATMENT PLANT THROUGH EXISTING 12KV
POLE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL HIS/HER SUPPLY POINTS FOR HIS/HER POWER AND WATER NEEDS.
7. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT, REPAIR AND/OR REPLACE IN ADDITION TO CLEAN-UP WORK AND POSSIBLE
FINES AND OTHER COSTS OF ALL EXISTING IMPROVEMENTS DAMAGED BY HIS/HER OPERATIONS INCLUDING ADJACENT OIL LINES AT HIS/HER
EXPENSE. EXISTING IRRIGATION SYSTEM LOCATED ALONG THE ROAD SHALL BE MAINTAINED IN OPERATION AT ALL TIMES; ANY DAMAGE TO THAT

8. ALL WORK WITHIN THE SANTA ANA RIVER MARSH AREA, BETWEEN SEWER FORCE MAIN STATIONS 38+50 AND 60+50 INCLUDING BUT NOT
LIMITED TO EXCAVATION, PIPE INSTALLATION, STAGING, AND CONSTRUCTION ACCESS, SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE PERIOD BETWEEN AUGUST 1
AND MARCH 1. AS PER SPECIFICATION 01140.
9. THE CONTRACTOR IS ADVISED OF THE FOLLOWING CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS THAT ARE ANTICIPATED TO BE UNDERWAY DURING
THE CONSTRUCTION PERIOD OF THE NEWPORT TRUNK SEWER AND FORCE MAINS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ALL PHASES
