AMENDMENTS
Master Plan Amendment No. 11 which proposes to amend
,

the Land Use Element and the Street and Highway Element
of the Master Plan of Corona del Mar was opened for
discussion. Chairman Clemence stated that this was
the first public hearing on the adoption of a Master
Plan for Corona del Mar. The Chairman stated that no
action would be taken on the plan, that the intent
of the meeting was for information and discussion by
interested citizens, and that further public hearings
would be set when definitive amendments were drafted.
The Chairman introduced Mr. Murton H. Willson, A.I.A.
and Mr. Dell M. Williams, A.I.A., the Planning Con-
sultants. Mr. Willson, in answer to audience inquiry,
explained some aspects of the plan, particularly as the
plan affected Buck Gully and other areas. The hearing

was closed.

The Commission, by unanimous action, went on record
in concurring with the action of the City Council in
reaffirming its opposition to the Pacific Coast Freeway
route, adopted by the California Highway Commission,
and the refusal of the City to enter into a Freeway
Agreement with the State of California.
