MINUTES
Minutes of the regular meeting on December 16,
1965 and adjourned meeting on January 6, 1966
were approved on the motion of Commissioner
Copelin,,seconded by Commissioner Jakosky,
and carried.
Commissioner Downing joined the meeting during
the following discussion.
TENTATIVE
MAPS
The Commission considered the tentative map of
Tract 6152
Tract 6152, being a proposed subdivision of a
portion of Blocks 96 and 97, Irvine's Subdivi-
sion, consisting of 134.4 acres divided into
391 single family residential lots and 1
private recreational lot, located north of 5th
Avenue and east of the prolongation of
Marguerite Avenue,. Corona del Mar,.and recom-
mended that Item 20 of the recommendations
of the City Engineeri which reads as follows,

There has been some discussion of the
possibility of extending 5th Avenue easterly

and northerly in lieu of the connection at
Poppy. Because of topographic and right
of way difficulties, we consider this ex-
tension of 5th Avenue to be impractical at
the present time: However, because of the

possibility that alternates to the connec-
tion at Poppy may prove to be feasible.in
the future, it.is suggested that the right of
way be reserved and that a separate bond and
agreement be provided for the improvements.
The agreement should provide for construction
of the improvements at such time as deemed
necessary by the City, unless a satisfactory
alternate.were to'be available ".

3, 1966.
