The Newport Beach City Planning Commission met for a Special Meeting, Thurs-
day, February 6, 1947, with Chairman Allen presiding.
ROLL CALL
Commissioners presents Allen, Baltz, Copelin, Ellerbroek, Johnson, Longmoor,
Pleger, and Rudd.
Commissioners absent: white.
The matter of the application of Grant K. Phillips, for a 50% setback var— PUBLIC
iance on J St, for Lot 12, Block 26, was heard, same having been duly filed HEARINGS
and advertised. After careful consideration, Commissioner Copelin made the
motion, seconded by Commissioner Baltz, that this matter be tabled to the
next regular meeting for action. Motion carried.
Public hearing upon the matter of the application of H, S. McGregor, for a
setback variance to permit a 2 foot bay window on his residence, now under
construction, on Lot 4, Block 10, Tract 626, was heard, same having been pro-
perly filed and advertised. Commissioner Baltz made the motion, seconded by
Commissioner Johnson that a setback variance of 6 inches be approved. ROLL MALL
Ayes: Allen, Baltz, Copelin, Ellerbroek, Johnson, Longmoor, Pleger, and VOTE
Rudd.
Noes: Nora. Motion carriedV and so ordered.
Public hearing upon the matter of the application of A. D. Haigh, for a 50%
setback variance, both front and side, for Lot 8, Block 635, Canal Section
tras heard, same having been duly filed and advertised. After much discuss-
ion, Commissioner Johnson made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Copelin
that the application be denied. ROLL CALL
Ayes: Allen, Baltz, Copelin, Ellerbroek, Johnson, Longmoor, Pleger, and VOTE
Rudd.
Noes:' Nore. Motion carried, and so ordered, after which Mr. Haigh stated
that he would refile for another hearing at the next meeting.
