Charles Griffin, Balboa Island resident, appeared

maybe some consideration could be given to long

of rezoning all property between the two piers as

parking requirements of commercial zones.
Advance Planning Administrator Gunn reported on the
economic studies of the commercial zones made by
DRA in which they stated that the City could support
5 acres of commercially developed property if in a
core area. He pointed out that there were approx-
imately 6 acres shown as remaining commercial on
the districting maps. When questioned, he advised
that the commercial area on 15th Street could be
supported.
Motion
X
Following discussion of the commercial areas on a
block by block basis, motion was made that the
commercial property be rezoned in accordance with

Boulevard be all commercial instead of a
combination of R -1.5 and commercial.
2. That the commercial from the Central Balboa
Core be extended down the south side of East
Balboa Boulevard to the alley opposite
Cypress and from East Balboa Boulevard south
to the alley running parallel to East Balboa
