IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS _ OF THE N09PORT BEACH CITY HALL The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:35 -p.m and the roll call of commissioners was taken. Roll Call Commissioners Briggs, Copelin, Lind, Longmoor Pleger, Rudd, and Wightman answering present; Commissioners Reed and Smith being absent. Stated that they would only use this of- fice until the 26 lots are sold and willing to close the office when the 26 lots are sold. Letter in pos- session of owner by former city attorney, Dennison, stating that the lot is a legal building site and that this letter was a binding contract. A. K. P$elps spoke in behalf of Mr. Fairchild protesting the granting of the application. Stanley Smith was present, who had originally subdivided the property, and gave the histarry of said subdivision. Commissioner Wightman moved the hearing be dlosed, seconded by Commissioner Lind and carried. Com- missioner Pleger moved that the application be denied and that the $10 filing fee be refunded, seconded by Commissioner Copelin and carried. Application of William 15. Upon motion of Commissioner Pleger, Set over 1;o next application was continued to the nextchearing and hearin . Commissioner Copelin was instructed to contact Mr. Palmer in the meantime relative to having the whole L_ 1 block come in. ANNEXATIONS: Petition of Cliff Haven residents for annexation referred to the Commission by the City Council. Property would come into the city as 'U' zoned. Upon mention of Commissioner Wightman seconded by Commissioner Copelin, a recommendation was ordered sent to the City Council for the approval of the Tract, and carried on the following roll call vote, to -wit: AYES: Briggs, Copelin, Lind, Longmoor, Pleger, Rudd, and Wightman. NOES: None ABSENT: Reed and Smith. The Council had also referred a request for annex- ation presented at their meeting of March 9th to the Commission for investigation. The petition was signed by Grant W. Goddicksen et al., and covers property to be known as Estus No. 2. After discussion with the City Engineer, the Com- mission approved the annexation upon motion of Commissioner Copelin, seconded by Commissioner Wightman and carried by the following roll call vote, to -wit: ' AYEES: Briggs, Copelin, Lind, Longmoor, Pleger, Rudd, and Wightman. NOES: None ABSENT: Reed and Smith MASTER PLAN: eal -Ran opened the hearing on the Master Plan, There was no discussion on it and the Chairman closed the hearing. Upon motion of Commissioner "ightman, seconded by- Commissioner Pleger, a Reso- lution adopting the Master Plan and recommending it to the City Council was adopted on the follow- ing roll call vote, to -wit: AYES: Briggs, Copelin, Lind, Longmoor, Pleger, Rudd, and Wightman.
