ORANGE COUNTY REFERRAL The Commission considered Use Variance Noe 5527 (County of Orange) filed by John Rawlins re- questing permission to (1) establish a 98 bed convalescent hospital and (2) to combine the use of parking in connection with an existing medical professional building, on the northwest side of Superior Avenue, approximately 400 feet southwesterly of Placentia Avenue in the north. Newport Beach area. Under City of Newport Beach zoning regulations, 98 off- street parking spaces would be required for both uses...The applicant proposes 60 park- ing spaces.
