AMENDMENTS A -206 Planning Commission Amendment No. 206 which proposes to amend Section 9105.1 of Article IX of the Newport Beach Municipal Code relating to helicopters, heliports and helistops was recommended to the City Council for Motion x approval. Second x All Ayes COUNCIL REF RRAL The Planning Commission considered Council action on May 13, 1963 which waived for a period of two years, sidewalk requirements in a portion of Tract 4225 and made the following recommendations: that sidewalks be installed at the ends of the landscaped area to the satisfaction of the Public Works Department and that required sidewalks parallel to Westcliff Drive be waived for an additional two year period, at which time the matter will again be reviewed to see if developments to the East and South have any effect upon pedestrian Motion x traffic along Westcliff Drive. Second x All Ayes COMMUNICATIONS 1. The Commission considered a request from Mrs. M. • Plemmons for an extension of Use Permit No. 1051 which permits live entertainment at 6600 West Coast Highway, Motion x Newport Beach and approved an extension for one year. Second x All Ayes 2. The Commission considered a request from Newport Shores Company to extend use permit No. 819 for a period of 6 months and to move the present sign from Orange Street and Coast Highway to the corner of Fern Street and Coast Highway. Request was granted with the condition Motion that the sign be lowered to 8° clear of the ground.
