The Planning Commission considered Council action on
May 13, 1963 which waived for a period of two years,
sidewalk requirements in a portion of Tract 4225 and
made the following recommendations: that sidewalks be
installed at the ends of the landscaped area to the
satisfaction of the Public Works Department and that
required sidewalks parallel to Westcliff Drive be
waived for an additional two year period, at which time
the matter will again be reviewed to see if developments
to the East and South have any effect upon pedestrian

permits live entertainment at 6600 West Coast Highway,

The Commission considered a request from Newport Shores
Company to extend use permit No. 819 for a period of 6
months and to move the present sign from Orange Street
and Coast Highway to the corner of Fern Street and
Coast Highway. Request was granted with the condition

that the sign be lowered to 8° clear of the ground.
