Nuzum Helen Herrmann MINUTES The minutes of the meeting of June 5, 1969 were approved on motion of Commissioner Adkinson, seconded by Commissioner Watson, and carried. Item 1. U#PERMIl Request to allow on -sale beer and wine in connection with a restaurant. 1434 APPROVED Location: Lot 2i Block O, Tract 323 located at 2920 East Coast Highway, Corona del Mar Zone: C -1 Applicant: John M. Zubieta, Corona del Mar Owner: Mr. & Mrs. J. Rossi, Corona del May Mr. Zubieta was present at the meeting. After discussion, the application was approved Motion x subject to the following conditions: Second x Ayes x x x x x x. 1. That it be for a term of one year Abstain x only. 2. The Commission expressed concern regarding the type of operation as proposed by the applicant and were assured by the applicant's attorney, that the operation was a legitimate church and completely permissable.under the provision of the Municipal Code. Mr. Kegley further stated that he did not believe that the City o Newport Beach had the authority to regulate th location of any duly incorporated church. Request for approval of the construction of a yacht club. Ficker, architect for the Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club and Mr. Jim Taylor of the Irvine Company were present at the meeting. Also present were Mr. Steve Bradford and Mr. Howard Langley of the Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club. Mr. Ficker read into the record a letter from the Irvine Company to Mr. J: Patrick Dougan, Commodore of the Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club regarding parking spaces for a portion of their commercial marina. Subject letter requested a continuation of the application. Assistant City Attorney Woodruff advised the Commission to comply with Mr. Cassel's request because of the importance of this matter in terms of public rights to a walkway, therefore Page 4. FINAL MAP Request for subdivision of 13.481 acres into 91 lots. Location: Portion of Block 51 of Irvine's TRACT 6996 Subdivision located north of Vista del Oro in the Northbluff area. Zone: R- 4- B -2 -UL and R -3 -B Applicant.: George & William Holstein Co., Inc,, and IDS Mortgage Development Corporation Owner: The Irvine Company, Newport Beach Mr. Michael Anderson, Engineer with Raub,.Bein Frost and Associates represented the applicant . After discussion, the Final Map of Tract 6996 was recommended to the City Council for Motion x approval, subject to the following conditions: Second x All Aye 1.
