Commissioner Alvan C. Clemence was nominated by Commissioner Steelman, seconded by Commissioner Marshall and elected by acclamation. Commissioner Steelman nominated Commissioner Marshall for lot Vice Chairman, seconded by Commissioner Copelin Commissioner Copelin nominated commissioner Picker for 2nd 'Vice Chairman, seconded by Commissioner Clark and Commissioner Steelman nominated Commissioner Copelin for Secretary, seconded by Commissioner Hudson. The Commission, acting as a whole, unanimously endorsed all nominations and the offices of lot Vice Chairman, 2nd Vice Chairman and Secretary were declared filled. The Planning Commission approved the Planning Director'; report regarding the creation of a Board of Adjustments. Motion x to handle variances, use permits, etc., and recommended Second x to the City Council that such a Board be established. All Ayes 3. The Commission reviewed Use Permit No. 566 approved on November 19, 1959, granting the applicant, Richard V. Jordan, permission to construct a restaurant and office buildings on property located on the southeast corner of Westcliff Drive and Irvine Avenue. The applicant requested permission to construct one phase of the overall development as originally pro- posed without improving the street parallel to Westclif Drive. COMMUNICATIONS August 18, 1960 at 8t00.P.M.,in the City Council Chambers, was established as a public hearing date to consider whether Use Permit 477 should be revoked in accordance with Section 9106.4 of the Planning and Zoning Regula- tions. Presented to the Commission by the Planning Department was as exhibit showing thereupon standards to be used in the submission of applications to be processed by the Planning Commission. The Co®ission approved in principle the exhibit as submitted and recommended certain changes.
