HomeMy WebLinkAbout07/23/1952221 MINUTES OF ADJOURNED MEETING OF PLANNING COMMISSION HELD IN CITY HALL, JULY 23.. 1952 AT 4:00 P.M. 1 Commissioners Present: Briggs, Cepelin, Lengmeer, Reed, Rudd, and smith. Commissioners Absent:Ellerbroek, Pleger, and Wightman. Also present were J. B. Webb, City Engineer, and Larry Wise,. Planning Consultant. MINUTES: Reading and /or approval of minutes of regular meeting of July 17th was postponed until next regular meeting of the Commission. BANNING REZONING APPLICATION: The Commission proceeded with the consideration of the application of Hancock Banning, Jr, to amend zoning ordinance per his application on file. After some disucssion of the problems involved by 1dr. Banning, Mr. Wise, and Commissioners the Commission took the following action: - A motion was,duly made and seconded that the following recommendation be made to the City Council:- 1.' That portion of the Banning property betinning at a prolongation northward of the center line of 49th Street and extending westward to the westerly termi- nus of the Banning property be rezoned to R-4 District as per the application of property owner. 2. That portion of the Banning property beginning at the prolongation northward of the center line of 49th Street and extending eastward to the westerly boundary of Balboa Boulevard be rezoned to a "U" or Unclassified District. The property owner in his application had applied for C -b-H zoning. 3. That portion of the Banning property located easterly of the intersection.. of Balboa Boulevard and State Highway now zoned as C -1 Be rezoned to C -1 -H; 4. That portion of Banning property located easterly of Banning property now zoned C -1 and now zoned R-3 be rezoned to "U" or Unclassified District. All above is as shown on map attached. Mr. Banning advised the Commission that the above proposed rezoning is satisfactory to him. Mr. Banning agreed with the Commission.tbat before be would shake any,additional road or street ingress or egress openings to that portion of his property proposed to be re- zor0d to R.-4, he would submit such plans to the Commission for its approval. He is to confirm this by letter to the Commission. Roll call vote, all ayes. Respectfully submitted, W. M. Longmoor, Chairman
