on the motion of Commissioner Rudd, seconded by

TENTATIVE;MAPS
The Tentative Map of Tract No. 3542, being a subdivi-
APPROVED sion of a portion of Block 93, Irvine's Subdivision,
located easterly of MacArthur Blvd., and north of 5th
Avenue in Corona del Mar was recommended to the City
Council for approval, subject to the following
! conditions:
1. That recommendations of the Public Works
Director as specified in a memorandum to
• ; the Planning Commission dated September 1,
1959 be complied with.
2. That street tree planting be in accordance
with specifications of the Parks, Beaches
and Recreation Commission.

3. That action be initiated to rezone this
property from an Unclassified to an R -1 -B
District at the time the final map is
approved..
4. That recommendations of the Fire Department
as specified in a memorandum to the Planning
Department dated August 19, 1959 be complied
with.
5. That a turn around adjacent to the garage
be provided on each lot in order to provide
a non - hazardous approach to Harbor View
Drive and Goldenrod Avenue.

The Planning Commission discussed Planning Department;

memorandum dated September 1, 1959 regarding off -situ
parking facilities. The Commission unanimously
• recommended that off -site parking for employees only
be permitted up to a distance of 800 feet. Addi-
tional consideration is to be given the recommendations
of the Planning Director by the Land Use Committee Motion x

and a proposed ordinance will be submitted to the Second
Commission at an early date. All Ayes:

On motion of Commissioner Copelin, seconded by
Commissioner Hayton, and carried, the meeting was
adjourned until October 1, 1959.
