Deming Tilton special_ advisor to our commission was also with us to l.r,ovide €iiretion ant' help. On motion of John Vogel v,itia st eon" by Hal Will Smith H.L.Parks ( newly appointee, member of our Commission was elected Chairman to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of George P ?Wilson. Minutes of the last meeting were read and stood approved. Mr Tilton suggesteu to the meeting that the commission utilize the next six months to the studyiy of particular problems which might be valuable t ®the community amok as streets,paving and many other items i of similar nature In keeping with the suggestion offereea by Yr Tilton the Chairman appointed the following members as heads of respective Committees to have charge of future meetings, with understanding that each member was to responsible for the meeting so designates Each member was requested to select from three to five associate memberstkus to study the topics so assigned The Chair made the following assignxentsto carry out the program. E.I.Moore Streest and Approaches. H.C.Sloan Parking � Beautification. F.C.Brookings Recreation ek Play Grounds. Jokn Vogel Zonning. Hal Will Smith Housing. H.L.Parks The Pay F< Marine Activities. Mr. Kirby was present at this meeting as represents ktive of the Housing ComAittee of Chamber. of Comm' crceanu suggested that the Planning Commission and the housing Co,?&Nittee work together to advance general meeting of the Citizens of the community thus to Stimulategreater interest inthe, advantaged of the National Housing Act. On motion of John Vogel with second by E.I,Moore ial Will Smith was apj)ointeo as representative to meet withthe Housing Cosa: .tittee to work out plans; for general meeting to be held late in the month of October. The meeting of the FlanninF Commission for the mont'a of October was turned over to Hal Will Saaitkas Chairman of the Housing Committee.
