The Tentative Map of Tract 3867 being a proposed sub-
division consisting of 45 acres divided into 10 lots
and located north of Bayside Drive between Coast Blvd.
and Jamboree Road was recommended for approval and
forwarded to the City Council with the following condi-
tions.

The Commission considered an appeal filed by William
Christensen, appealing from a decision of the Building
Department denying his application for a building permit.
The Building Department denied the building application
for the reason that, in their opinion, the proposed

additional structure constituted a second dwelling unit
and should not be permitted since the required garage
space was not being provided.,
The Planning Commission, after reviewing the plans and
hearing testimony at the meeting, overruled the
decision of the Building Department with the condition
that the owner sign a statement, to be prepared by the
City Attorney's office and to be recorded, agreeing
