Wed. evs.,i October lb, 19410 7.30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Newport ' Beach, Calif. As Chairman Johnson was not present, Cam. Patterson was vasnf- imously appointed to preside. Meeting called to order by the Chairman. Commissioners present: Estes, Hall, Seeger, Nelson, Patterson ROLL CALL M absents Findlay,Hopkins,Allen,Johnsou The Chairman called for consideration of the meeting hold Sept.17th.1941. MI"IUTES Cam. Estes moved that these minutes be approved as written. Seconded by Co. Nelson. Motion carried and so ordered by the Chairman. Chairman called for consideration of the minutes of Oct. 1st, 1941. Seely Seager advised that a substitute had filled in for the Asst. Sect'. on that evening and that he had not received the minutes to date. The Secretary read the following advertisement which had appeared on Oct. 71th, :FIRST HEAR - 1941. He added that this was an Amendment to Ord.440. ING ON RE ?ON Lots 1156, 1157, 1178 ,1179,1180,1181,1182,12oS,1209 and 1210 in Tract #907, As IUG OF LA ?'ID shown an a map recorded in Sk.280 papa 25 to 36, incl., records of Orange !Co.DESCRIBZD Calif., a parcel of land being part of Lot 3, Sec. 28,,Township 6 So. Range ALONGSIDE 10 West S.B.B. & M., beginning at flue southwesterly corner of Lot 1166 in Tr. FROM R3 TO #907 as shown on a map recorded in 33k 28, pages 25 to 36 incl. records of C2 said County, running easterly along the soutberly boundary line of said Tr., #9076 422 ft. more or less to an angle point in said boundary line; thence southerly along the westerly boundary line of said Tract #9076 2O0 ft; thence westerly in a direct line parallel to the aforesaid southerly boundary line of said Tract #9076 461 ft. more or less, to an intersection with the easterly line of Central Ave., thence northerly along the easterly line of Central Ave., to the point of beginning, excepting the westerly 100 ft. thereof. THE FOLLOWIN3 IA11D TO BS CHANGED FROM R 3 ZONE TO M-1 ZON9 Lots 4 to 11 incl and the easterly 20 ft. of Lot 3, in Block 230; Lots 1 to 9 Incl., in Block 329; Lots 7 to 10 inol. in Block 430; all as shown on said map of Lancaster's Addition. THE FOLLOWING LAND TO BE CHANGED FROM M-1 ZONE TO C-2 ZONZ. Lots 1 to 7 inclusive in Block 529 as shows on said map of lancaster's Addition. Secretary Seager than submitted a map covering additional property that Mr. Paul Palmer had requested be included with this rezoning amendment. 00M.Patter14. son asked Sogy. Seeger what Mr. Palmer's reasons for the request were and was told that Mr. Palmer wanted this rezoned for the sake of uniformity. After some discassion, during which it was brought out that now of the Commiss- ioners objected to adding the land involved in Mr. Palmer's request to the original advertisement, Cam. Estes made a motion that the Commission rezone all the land which Mr. Palmer had asked to be rezoned. Secy. Seeger seconded this motion, which carried and was so ordered by the Chairman* who then instructed the Secretary to re- advertise the matter and to include the land Mr. Palmer wanted rezoned. 'Secretary Seeger stated that it was his practice to advertise matters as late as possible so that interested parties would not forget the date of bearing. Cam. Estes me" a motion for Adjournment.
