1. A report from the Planning Dept. recommending
the rezoning of the south side of Coast Highway
between The Arches and the Balboa Bay Club from a i
C -2 to a C -2 -H District was approved.
A Resolution of Intention was initiated in order to
hold one public hearing on the rezoning of the south
side of Coast Highway between The Arches and the Motion
Balboa Bay Club from a C -2 to a C -2 -H District was Second
approved. All Ayes
2. Presented to the Commission was a plot plan
submitted by Lloyd 0. Johnson requesting permission
to construct a detached garage on the front half of
a lot in a "B" District.
Section 9105.4 of the Zoning Ordinance, permits the
Planning Commission to approve without variance
procedure, a detached garage on the front of a lot
in a "B" District.
3. Forwarded to the Commission by the City Council
was a petition and a plot plan submitted by certain
property owners between B & F Streets on Balboa
Blvd. requesting to vacate a certain portion of
Balboa Blvd.
This matter was set over for further consideration
and study by the Commission.

1. A communication dated October 10, 1958, from the
Parks, Beaches & Recreation Commission was presented
to the Commission which had reference to a proposed
realignment of Carnation Ave. and Fernleaf Ave. in
Corona del Mar.
The proposed realignment was endorsed by the Commmissioq
with the suggestion that the area north of Bayside :
Drive between existing Carnation Ave, and the proposed Motion
realignment of Carnation Ave. be reserved for parking Second
purposes only. All Ayes
Business at hand being declared completed, the
