Letter dated October 16, 1963, signed by Richard A. Jordan, Chairman of the Planning Commission, City of Buena Park, regarding unusual amount of "fourplexes" being built in that city was ordered filed. SINESS A discussion was held regarding recent newspaper article Notion Second All Ayes Motion Second All Ayes Motion Second All Ayes x x x x x x 1.1 which indicated that the Planning Commission, upon con- sideration of the Master Plan of Streets and Highways, "adopted" the Coastal Freeway Route. Upon recommending approval of the Street and Highway Plan to the City Council, the Planning Commission took the following . actions 1. That the legend indicate that freeways are adopted by the State only and that the date of adoption be shown. By unanimous action the Commission requested that the Assistant City Attorney draft a letter setting forth the City's position in showing the Freeway Route on the Street and Highway Plan and that the letter be forwarded to the City Council with the request that it be trans- Notion x mitted to the newspapers carrying the above articles. A discussion was held regarding the feasibility of un dertaking a study of Corona del Mar to determine appropriate rezoning of existing commercial zones and to determine what extent should the commercial zone en- croach into adjacent residential zones. The Planning Commission directed the Land Use Committee to proceed with such a study and that the Planning staff prepare a map to be presented at the next Land Use Committee meeting on Thursday, November 14, 1963, show- Motion Ix ing existing on -site parking for existing commercial use .
