Zimmerman MINUTES Minutes of the adjourned meeting of November 3 1966 were approved on motion of Commissioner Copelin, seconded by Commissioner Clemente, and carried. AMODMENTS low— A -227 The Planning Commission,reviewed.Amendment No., 227 which proposes to amend Title 20 of the CONTINUED Newport Beach Municipal Code by the addition UNTIL of regulations to guide in the .control and DEC. 1 development of "Outdoor Restaurants" and "Drive Through .Restaurants ".and. "Take.Out Restaurants ". Mr. Richard W. Pomeroy representing Jack in th Box, Inc., requested a two week continuance in order that their organization may have addi- tional time to review the proposed ordinance inasmuch as.they were in the process of gettin a building permit at the time Interim.0rdinanc No. 1174 was adopted. The Commission asked the City Attorney whether a. continuance would have any effect on the Interim Ordinance and were advised that subjec ordinance could be extended, if necessary. Mr. Pomeroy agreed that he would not oppose a continuance of the Interim Ordinance in the • event such ordinance expired due to the re- quested continuance of Planning Commission dis- cussion of this matter. All gasoline tanker deliveries to the site shall be made within the hours of 7:00 A.M..and 10:00 P.M. B. All tires and other automotive items shall be housed and stored within the building. C, No sale, lease, rental of items such as trailers, boats., soda pop, cigarettes (except in a dispensing device) peat moss, toys or items not clearly incidental to the automotive industry shall be per- mitted on the site. D. No vehicles shall be parked on the premises _other . than,those of-persons attending.to bus.iness.on the site, vehicles being._serviced for cus -. tomers, vehicles of employees and service vehicles, . No vehicles shall be parked on adjacent sidewalks. E. No activities other than the follow= ing shall be permitted: dispensing gasoline, oil,.grease, tires, batteries and automotive accessories directly td "users of.motor vehicles being attended; tuning..motors; wheel and brake adjustments and other minor repair and servicing only to the extent of..installation of items enumerated above. The Planning Commission reserves the right without necessity of further notic or hearing to make minor modifications of any of-the foregoing conditions if such modification will achieve substan- tially the same results and will in no way be detrimental.to adjacent propertie or improvements than will the strict compliance with said conditions. CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH r November 17. 1966 COMMISSIONERS AWV—O--I:r 0\1\ MATTERS FROM Mayme Plemmons requesting an extension of Use Permit No. 904 which permits on sale beer and wine at 6600 West Coast Highway, Newport Beach, was approved for a period of three years. THE AUDIENCE Mrs. Robert O'Brien, 2100 Vista Laredo, Motion Second All Ayes x x Newport Beach, approached the Commission in connection with a particular problem that she, as a prospective purchaser of a residential unit in the Bluffs development has run across and asked the Commission for guidance in connection with City policies with reference to the construction of patios and walls. The Commission instructed staff to review this matter and report back to them with its find- ings and recommendations at the next regularly scheduled meeting on December 1, 1966. On motion of Commissioner Copelin, seconded by Commissioner Clemence, and carried, the meetin was adjourned until December 1, 1966 at 8:00 P.M. in the City Council Chamber.
