The Minutes of the meeting of November 7, 1968
were approved on motion of Commissioner

Clemente, seconded by Commissioner Dosh, and
carried.
Planning.Consultant, Ernest Mayer, Jr.,.pre-
sented the following item to the Commission.

The staff was directed to make a study as to
the advisability of requiring a use permit for
restaurants in the C -1 District and of deletin

Commissioner Adkinson stated that he would
like.to see a re -draft of Section.2(a)`of the
Parking:Ordinance incorporating the suggestion.
of the Newport Harbor,Chamber of Commerce that
"any establishment refurbishing the interior
of their property; for example,.any showcases,
display stands, shelving,.partitioning, etc.,
would not be considered as an alteration or
remodeling and therefore would not be subject
to the 10% restriction proposed in said para-
graph".

On motion of Commissioner Adkinson, seconded
by Commissioner.Clemence, and carried the meet-
ing was adjourned until December 5, 1968 at
