APPROVED 150.39 acres divided into 50 lots located north of East Coast Highway between Mac Arthur Boulevard and Jamboree Road. Mr. Gordon Jones was present representing the Irvine Company. The subject tract was recommended to the City Motion x Council for approval subject to.th.e following Second x conditions:. All Ayes 1. That all improvements be constructed • as requi.red,by ordinance and the Public Works Department. 2. That Section 19.16.030 of the Municipal Code regarding.map scale be waived provided maps drawn accurately to a scale of 1" = 100' are furnished -to the Public Works Department. 3. A report.on the status of cost sharing on arterial highway construction under the Capital Improve- ment Policy will be presented to the Council at a.later date. 7, That .the traffic signal at San Joaquin Hills Road and Santa Cruz Drive be constructed when warrants are met, with the City bearing 2/3 of the cost and The Irvine Company 1/3 of,the cost. 8. That, when traffic signal warrants are met, signals be provided by The Irvine Company at the intersections of"Newport Center Drive East and West with all radial streets. No signal will be required where warrants are not met. 9. That public utilityeasements be a . minimum of 1.0 feet widen 10. That Section 19.28.010 of the Municipal Code requiring permanent iron pipe monuments at tract boundary corners be. waived. This tract.is bounded by public street rights- of,way. Center- line monumentation of the streets will fulfill the requirement ". 11. That Section 19.28.040 of the Municipal Code requiring-lot: tags at "all lot corners be waived and that the lot corners be monumented as required by the City Engineer. 12. That adequate right -of -way be reserved to provide for future right turning lanes and islands at the northeast corner of San Joaquin Hills Road "and Jamboree Road, and at the southeast corner-of Newport Center Drive and Newport Center,Drive East; with the exact design to be. determined by traffic needs. 13. That the wording of the dedication clause be revised to exclude the ex- ception of airspace over the public street areas. 17. That the owner or owners and,the City, upon the approval of the City,Council and recordation of the final tract map, execute a written instrument or instruments, approved as to form and • content by the City Attorney, providing for the maintenance of the required off - street parking for the duration of the proposed use or uses on the building site or sites under Section 20.38.040 A thru D. Director to determine if the.Air Traffic Advisory Committee would: be agreeable to a joint meeting to.discuss mutual interests relative to.the airport'. 2. The Commission indicated to staff that they wi h the matter of amendments to the General Plan element of ,Streets and Highways as they relate to freeways to be placed on the January 4,196 study session agenda for discussion purposes.. Those members present at the meeting on Decem- ber 7, 1967; although inclined to draft:a Resolution indicating their concern over the City.freeway program, postponed the matter until a full Commission could be present.
