AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING
SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO.
142 FIXING THE SALARY OF THE
MARSHAL THEREOF. I
The Board of Trustees of the City
of Newport Beach do ordain as fol-
lows:
SECTION ONE.
Section 1 of Ordinance No. 142 is
hereby amended so as to read as fol -I
lows:
Salary of the Marshal and ex -officio
tax and license collector of the City of
Newport Beach shall be $135.00 per
month, and the salary of the Recorder
of said City shall be $10.00 per month;
said salaries shall be paid at the same
time and in the same manner as the
salary of other officers of said City
is paid.
SECTION TWO.
This Ordinance shall take effect and
be in force from and after its final
passage, and it shall be printed and
published once in the NEWPORT
NEWS, a newspaper of general cir.
culation, printed, published and circu-
lated in the City of Newport Beach.
The above and foregoing Ordinance
No. 156 was passed at a regular meet-
ing of the Board of Trustees held on
the 12th day of August, 1919, and on
said day approved by the President
of the Board of Trustees, the same
being passed by the vote of the follow-
ing named members of said Board:
Ayes —J. P. Greeley, A. L. Heard, J.
C. McCain.
Noes —J. J °. Schnitker, L. S. Wilkin-
son.
Absent —None.
The foregoing Ordinance No. 156
approved by me this 12th day of Au-
gust, 1919.
