RHEREAS, The Board of Trus-
tees of the City of Newport Beaeh,
on the 16th day of March, 1921, at
a regular meeting of said Board

posed, being that of vacating the
above named street as hereinafter
described, and the said notice
herein mentioned referred to said
Resolution for further particulars;
said Street Superintendent having
also caused a notice similar to that
Inereinbefore referred to to be pub-
lished by four .(4) successive In-
sertions in the Newport News, a
weekly newspaper Printed Pub-
lished and circulated in said City
of Newport Beacjr (there being no
daily newspaper so printed, Pub -
lished and circulated In said Cify),
and more than ten days after the
expiration of the time of publica-
tion of said notice having elapsed
and no objections to the said im-
Prevement have been delivered to
the City Clerk of tine City of New-
port Beach, and the said Board of
Trustees having acquired jurisdic-
tion to order the vacation of Said
street as hereinafter described,
THEREFORE, The Board of
Trustees of the City of Newport
Beach do ordain as follows:
SECTION I.
That that portion of the public
street hereinafter described within
the said City be closed -up, va-
cated and abandoned for public
street purposes. The said Portions
of said street so closed -up, va-
cated and abandoned for ,public
street purposes are described as
follows:
All that portion of Carnation
Avenue (sometimes called 30th
Avenue) within the said City, from
the southwesterly line of Fhst
Avenue (sometimes called 53rd
Place) to the northeasterly line of
Pacific Drive (sometimes called
Electric Way Street).
SECTION II.

SECTION' III.
The City Clerk shall certify to
the passage of this Ordinance and
shall cause the same to be pub-
lished by one Insertion in the New-
port News, a weekly newspaper
printed, published and circulated
in said City, and which is hereby
designated for that purpose.

OF SEFYPOAT BEACH FIXING
THE SALARY Of' THE ;LIAR.
SHAL THEREOF, AND RE..
PEALING THAT PORTION OF
ANY ORDINANCE IN CON-
FLICT THEREIFITH.
The Board of Trustees of the
City of Newport Beach do ordaini
as follows:
SECTION I.
The salary of the 3Iarshal of:
the City of Newport Beach is
hereby fixed at the sum of $'x00.00 l
per men h, and which salary shall
be paid at the same time and in
the same manner as the salaries
of all other officers of the said
city are paid.
SECTION 2.
That portion of all ordiinances .
of the city of Newport Beaeh, -Die-
scribing a different salary for the
Marshal thereof, is hereby repeal-
ed.
SECTION 3.
The above and foregoing OrdlA-
ance shall be printed once in THE
NEWPORT Ni a newspaper
of general circulation printed,
Published and circulated In the
city of Newport Beach, and shall
take effect and be in force thirty
days after its passage.
