COUNCIL OF THE CITY OFI
NEWPORT BEACH GRANT-1
ING TO SOUTHERN PACIFIC
RAILROAD COMPANY CER-
TAIN PRIVILEGES.
The City Council of the City of
Newport Beach do ordain as fol-
lows:
SECTION 1. That the right of
way for the railroad of Southern
Pacific Railroad Company over
that certain property lying in the
alley in the City of Newport
Beach, as follows:
A piece or parcel of land
situate, lying and being in the
City of Newport iieach, Coun-
ty of Orange, State of Cali-
fornia, being a portion of that
certain 10 foot alley lying
easterly of and adjacent to
the easterly lines of Block 634
and Block 532 of Canal Sec-
tion, as per map thereof re-
corded in Book 4, page 98 of
Miscellaneous Maps, records
of said County, said parcel
being more particularly des-
cribed as follows:
Beginning at the southeast-
erly corner of Lot 4, of said
Block 634; thence South 72
degrees 28 minutes East,
along the easterly prolonga-
tion of the southerly line of
said Lot 4, a distance of 30
feet to a point in the westerly
line of the Southern Pacific
Railroad Company's 100 foot
right of way; thence South 17
degrees 32 minutes west
along said right of way line a
distance of 62.74 feet to a
point; thence southerly con-
tinuing along said right of
way line on the arc of a curve
concave to the east, having a
radius of 2914.88 feet an arc
distance of 186.51 feet to a
point; thence north 13 degrees
52 minutes 02 seconds east
(tangent to said curve at the
last mentioned point is the last
described course), a distance
of 249.63 feet to the point of
beginning, containing an area
of 860 square feet, more or
less.

SECTION 2. The above and
foregoing ordinance shall be print-
ed and published once in NEW
PORT NEWS, a newspaper of I
general circulation printed, pub-
lished and generally circulated in
the City of Newport Beach, and
