ORDINANCE NO. 491
The City of Newport ,Beach, by
and through its City Council, does
ordain as follows:
Section 1. It is hereby de
Glared unlawful to permit or
allow dogs in or upon any public
pier in the City of Newport Beach.
Section 2. Any person violating
any of the provisions of this ordi-
nance shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor and upon conviction
thereof shall be punished by a
fine not exceeding $25.00, or by
imprisonment in the City or Coun-
ty Jail for a period not exceed-
ing five (5) days, or by both
such fine and imprisonment.
Section 3. This ordinance shall
be published once in NEWPORT
BALBOA NEWS - TIMES, a semi-
weekly newspaper of the City of
Newport Beach, and shall take
effect and be in force thirty (30)
days after its passage.
The above and foregoing ordi-
nance was introduced at a reg-
ular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach
held on the 1st day of April, 1940,
and was finally parsed and adopt-
ed on the 15th day of April, 1940,
by the City Council at an ad-
jou:ned .regular meeting thereof,
by the following vote, to -wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Gordon,
Claire, Whitson, Brown, William-
son.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN:
None,
