ORDINANCE NO. 518
The City of Newport Beach, by
and through its City Council, does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 93% of
Ordinance No. 393 of the City of
Newport Beach is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"SECTION 93%. The rate of li-
cense for operating or conducting
the business of renting bicycles to
the general public in the city of
Newport Beach shall be $12.00
per annum.
Under the terms hereof a bi-
cycle is defined as any two or
three wheeled vehicle which is op-
erated by manpower and the term
"Bicycle" does not include motor
driven vehicles of any description."
SECTION 2. This ordinance
shall be printed and published
cnce in the NEWPORT- BALBOA
PRESS, a newspaper printed,
published and circulated in the
City of Newport Beach, and shall
take effect and be in force thirty
(30) days after its passage.
The above and foregoing Ordin-
ance was introduced at an ad-
journed regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of New-
port Beach held on the 18th day
of May, 1942, and was finally
passed and adopted on the 1st day
of June, 1942, by said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof, by
the following vote, to -wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Gordon,
Allen, Isbell, Reed Hall.
NOES COUNCILMEN: None.

None.
