THE CITY OF NEWPORT -
BEACH, BY AND THROUGH"
ITS CITY COUNCIL, DOES OR-
DAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Subdivision 2 of
Section 11 of Ordinance No. 525 of
the City of Newport Beach is here-
by amended to read as follows:
"2. To allow reduction of lot
area requirements and front,
side, and rear -yard regulations
where, in the judgment of the
Planning Commission, t h e
shape of the building site, to-
pography, the location of ex-
isting buildings, or other con-
ditions make a strict compli-
ance with said regulations im-
possible without practical diffi-
culty or hardship; but in no
case shall these regulations be
reduced more than 50 per cent
or in such a manner as to vio-
late the intent and purpose of
this Ordinance."
SECTION 2: This Ordinance
shall be published once in Newport
Balboa News - Times, a newspaper
of general circulation printed. pub-
lished and circulated in the City of
Newport Beach, and this Ordi-
nance shall take effect and be in
full face and effect thirty days
from and after its adoption.
The above and foregoing ordi-
nance No. 535 was passed at a
regular meeting of the City Coun -.
cil of the City of Newport Beach
held on the 2nd day of July, 1945,
by the following vote, to -wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN:
Allen, Stanley, Isbell, Reed,
Hall.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
The above and foregoing Ordt,
nance No. 535 is approved and
signed by me this 2nd day of July,
1945.
