ORDINANCE APPROVING TILE
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED„ TERRITORY'
CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH.
The City Council of Newport
Beach, California, does ordain as
follows:
Section L That the annexation
to the City of Newport Beach,
California, of that certain unin-
habited territory contiguous to
said City, lying adjacent to the
City boundary line extending along
West Newport Channel southerly
of State Highway ORA 60 -A, and
wc,terly of State Highway ORA
43 -A, comprising approximately
16.11 acres, is hereby approved
and that the same is hereby or-
dained to be annexed and made
a part of the City of Newport
Beach, California. That said t, ,
ritory is particularly described as
follows;
Beginning at the point of in-
tersection of the southerly line
of State Highway ORA 60 -A
produced easterly, said line
measured 40 feet at right angles
from the center line of said
State Highway, with the south-
erly prolongation of the easier-
ly line of Newport Beach Boule-
vard, said easterly line being the
existing boundary line of the
City of Newport Beach; thence,
from this point of beginning
along said southerly line of State
Highway to the easterly line of
State Highway ORA 43 -A;
thence, southerly along said
easterly line to a mint in the
southerly line of the 100 foot
right of way of State Highway
ORA 60 -A, said line being tan-
gent to a curve having a radius
of 1550 feet; thence westerly
through said cur-ze, having an
angle of 13° 46' to a point in a
line, said line being tangent to
aforesaid curve; thence, west=
erly along said tangent to its
point of tangency with a curve,
having a radius of 1550 feat;
thence, westerly from said point
of tangency along said curve,
a distance of 60.21 feet; thence,
South 9° 27' West 339.42 feet,
to its intersection
with aline designated as "North

Count,,, said voint being distant
easterly 83.55 feet from the in-
tersection of a line having a
bearing of North 37° 1' 30"
West with a line having'a bear-
ing of North 73° 34' 20" West;
thence, easterly along said mean
high tide line to its intersection
with the westerly line of Central
Avenue, said westerly line being
the existing boundary line of
the City of Newport Beach;
thence, northerly along said

ous courses to the point of be-
ginning
Section 2. That the boundaries
of the City of Newport Beach.
California, be and the. same are
hereby altered to include the above
described territory, the annexation
of which is approved and ordained
herein and incorporated in the
City of Newport Beach, California.
Section 3. That the proceed-
ings and annexation herein or-
dained are had and taken under
.,and pursuant to the provisions of
an act of the Legislature of the
State of California, designated and
referred to as the "Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of
1939."
Sectfan 4. The City Clerk shall
cause this Ordinance to be pub-
lished within fifteen (15) days
after its passage, at least once in
the Newport Balboa News - Times,
a new ^-'-?r of general clrcula-
tion pub..shed and circulated in
the City of Newport Beach.
The foregoing Ordinance was in-
troduced by the Council of the
City of Newport Beach at its regu-
lar meeting of May 6, 1946, and
finally adopted at a regular meet-
ing of said Council held on the
20th day of May, 1946.
