ORDINANCE NO. 580
The City of Newport Beach, by
and through its City Council, does
ordain as follows:
SECTION I: It shall be unlaw-
ful for any person, firm or corpor-
ation to sell or offer for sale, or
have in his or their or its cus-
tody or possession, or to transport,

SECTION 4: The City
of the City of Newport Metal'

of its police powers. That there is
an emergency existing and that
this Ordinance is necessary for the
immediate preservation of the
public peace, health and safety
within the meaning of Section 1
of Article 4 of the Constitution of
the State of California, and Sub.
division C of Section 1651 of the
Election Code of the Stat- of
California, and shall tak, effeel
immediately after its adoption.

City of Newport Beach has no or.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk
shall certify to the separate vote
on the urgency of this ordinance
and its passage by the vote of five
members of the r ty Council of
the City of Newport Beach, and
cause, the same to be published
once in the NEW -ORT- BALBOA
NEWS- TIMES, a newspaper of
gene -a] circulation printed, pub,
lishrd and circulated in the Citi
of Nrcvport Beach, and upon adop-
tion this ordinance shall become
immediately operative and take

by a vote of five members of the
City Council of the City of New-
port Beach at its meeting held the
28th day of June. 1948.
