ORDINANCE NO. 610
ORDINANCE AMENDING
SECTION 7212 OF THE MUNI-
CIPAL CODE OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH,
ELIMINATING FLAT RATE
CHARGES FOR WATER
SERVICE.
The City Council of the City
of Newport Beach does hereby
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 7212 of the
Municipal Code is hereby amended
to read as follows, to wit:
"Section 7212. The City shall
have the right to Install water
meters on any and all water
services and the charges for
water used through said
meters shall be in accordance
with the meter rates appli-
cable."
SECTION 2. This ordinance
shall be published at least once
in the Newport- Balboa Press, a
newspaper of general circulation
printed and published in the City
of Newport Beach, and shall be
in force and effect thirty (30)
days after the final passage
thereof.
I hereby certify that the above
and foregoing ordinance was in-
troduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach held on the 28th
day of November, 1949, and was
finally passed and adopted on the
12th day of December, 1949, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN Greeley,
Robertson, Isbell, Blue, Drake
NOES, COUNCILMEN None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN None
