Ordinance No. 687
AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE
SALARY OF THE CITY CLERK
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 330
tof the City of Newport Beach,
when adopted, fixed the salary of
the City Clerk of the City of New-
port Beach at $225.00 per month;
and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 551
of the City of Newport Beach, by
its terms, repealed Ordinance No.
330 in error, and contrary to the
.provisions of Section 36517 of the,
Government Code of the State of
California; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed neces+
sary. and advisable to fix the sal- -
ary of the City Clerk of Newport
Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City
Council of the City of Newport.
Beach does ordain as follows:
Section 1: The salary of the'
City Clerk of the City of Newport
Beach is hereby fixed at the sum,
of $225.00 per month, until fur. -
ther action by this City Council.
Section 2: All payments of sal-
ary made to the said City Clerk,
prior to the effective date of this
Ordinance and since the effective"
date of Ordinance No. 551, are
hereby ratified and approved.
Section 3: This Ordinance shall
be published at least once in the-
Newport Harbor Ensign, a news-
paper of general circulation,
printed and published in the City
of Newport Beach and shall be in'
force and effect thirty (30) days
after the final passage thereof.
The foregoing Ordinance was
introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, held on the 10th
day of March, 1952 and was finally
passed and adopted on the 24th
day of March, 19$2 by the follow-
ing vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Finch,
Ramsey, Blue, Isbell
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: Greeley'
