LEGAL NOTICE
ORDINANCE NO. 690
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH NA1H-
iING CERTAIN STREETS.
The City Council of the City of
Newport Beach does hereby or-
dain as follows:
SECTION 1: That portion of
State Highway 101 Alternate, run-
ning in a general Southeasterly
direction from the center of the
Upper Bay Bridge in the City of
Newport Beach to the Southeast-
erly City Limits, is hereby desig-
nated and named "East Coast
Highway."
SECTION 2: That portion of
State Highway 101 Alternate run-
ning in a general Northwesterly
direction from the center of the
Upper Bay Bridge in the City of
Newport Beach to the Northwest-
erly City Limits, is hereby desig-
nated and named "West Coast
Highway."
SECTION 3: The name of that
certain thoroughfare in the City
of Newport Beach, formerly desig-
nateed "Old County Road," run-
ning in a general North and South
direction between Broad Street
and Newport Boulevard, is here-
by changed to "Catalina Drive."
SECTION 4: This Ordinance
shall be published once in the
Newport - Balboa Press, a newspa-
per of general circulation, print-
ed and' published in the City of
Newport Beach, and the same
shall be in full force and effect
30 days after this passage.
The foregoing Ordinance was in-
troduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, held on the 27th
day of July, 1953, and was finally
passed and adopted on the 10th
day of August, 1953 by the follow-
ing vote, to -wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Smith,
,Finch, Isbell, Bennett, Miller.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None
