OF NEWPORT BEACH AP-
PROVING THE ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH OF CERTAIN INHAB-
ITED TERRITORY DESIG-
NATED AS " STRICKER AN-
NEXATION" WHICH IS CON-
TIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH, UPON
THE TERMS CONTAINED IN
THE QUESTION SUBMITTED
AT A SPECIAL ELECTION
HELD IN SAID TERRITORY
ON THE 24th DAY OF FEB-
RUARY, 1954.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the
provisions of an Act of the Legis-
lature of the State of California,
known as the "Annexation Act of
1913;' and pursuant to Resolutiei
No. 4194 adopted by the :•;:y

AND, WHEREAS, it appears
From the canvass of the returns
of the votes cast at said special
election that a majority of all
votes cast in said territory on the
question of said annexation to the
City of Newport Beach upon the
terms contained in the question

Favor annexation; and
WHEREAS, it appears that
said special election and all pro-
ceedings relating thereto have
been conducted strictly in accord-
ance with law;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City
Council of the City of Newport
Beach does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That the annexa-
tion of th4,t certain inhabited ter-
ritory contiguous to the City of
Newport Beach designated as
"Stricker Annexation" be and the
same hereby is approved upon the
terms contained in the aforesaid
question which was submitted at
the special election held on the
24th day of February, 1954. Said
territory is described as follows:

foot right of way granted to
the Santa Ana Railroad, a cor-
poration, by deed dated October
10, 1889 and recorded in Book
10, Page 117 of deeds, Records
of Orange County, California,
and the westerly prolongation

1139, recorded In Miscellaneous
