Home My WebLink About745 - Cooper Annex• ORDINANCE NO. 745_ AN ORDINANCE AMEND- ING SECTION 9102.2 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE 'OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH CHANGING THE ZONING OF CERTAIN PRO- PERTY KNOWN AS THE "COOPER ANNEX." The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, does hereby ordain as follows: SECTION 1: Section 9102.2 of the Municipal Code of the City of Newport Beach is hereby amended by adding the follow. ing: "That the following described property lying in the City of Newport Beach, County of Or- ange, State of California, partic- ularly described as follows: — Beginning at the intersec- tion of the City of Newport _ Beach boundary with the Northwesterly line of Harbor Island Road, as deeded to the County of Orange, June 11, 1936, and recorded in Book 830, Page 217 of Offi- cial Records of said Orange County, California; thence Northeasterly along the said Northwesterly line of Harbor Island Road to a point 121.6' Northeasterly of ordinary high tide line of the Pacific Ocean in Newport Bay, as established by Decree in Court Case No. 20436 of the Superior Court in and for Orange County, California; thence Southeasterly along a line measured at right angles to the said North- westerly line of Harbor Island Road 89.00' to the be- ginning of a curve concave Southwesterly, having a rad- ius of 29.00'; thence South- easterly along said curve through an angle of -45° 21' 21 ", a distance of 22,98' to an intersection with the South- westerly line of Bayside Drive, s a i d Southwesterly line of Bayside Drive being on a curve concave North- caste rly and having a radius of 380.00'. The radial line of said 380.00' radius ' curve being the same as the radial line of the hereinbefore mentioned 29.00' radius curve; thence Southeasterly along the last mentioned curve through an angle of 45° 21' 21 ", a distance of 300.81' to 'the' end of said ' curve, said end of curve being in the city boundary of, the City of Newport ,Beach; 'tlience:North. U* 54' 00" West along the City of Newport Beach boundary to the Northwesterly corner of Beacon Bay as shown on a Record of Survey as filed in Book 9, Page 43 of Records of Survey of said Orange County; thence South 23° 57' 30" West along the City of Newport Beach boundary and along the Northwest - ly line of Beacon Bay 317.57' more or less to the West- erly corner of Lot 62 of said Beacon Bay; thence North 39° 48' 00" West along the said City of Newport Beach boundary to the point of be- ginning. as shown on Sheet No. 14 of the District Map attached to Ordi- nance No. 635 and referred to in Section 9102.2 of the Munici. pal Code, and made a part there- of, be, and it is hereby, rezoned from a "U" District to an "R -1" District. SECTIO19 2: That the City En- gineer of the City of Newport Beach is hereby instructed and directed to change and add to ' the above District Map so as to show the zoning of said property as above established, and, as said District Map has been so amended, the same shall be and remain in full force and effect as a part of Ordinance No. 635 of the City of Newport Beach and Section 9102.2 of the Municipal Code of the City of Newport Beach. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall bp published once in the Newport Harl5or Ensign, a news- paper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Newport Beach, and the same shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after the final adoption thereof. The above and foregoing Ordi- nance was introduced at a reg- ular meeting of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, held on the 14 day of February, 1955, and was finally passed and adopted on the 28th day of Feb- ruary, 1955, by the following roll call vote, to wit: AYES, COUNCILMEN.
