WHEREAS, the City Charter of
The City of Newport Beach pro-
vides that'when any territory is
annexed to the City of Newport
Beach, the City Council shall, by t
ordinance, add the territory to the
adjacent district or districts; and
WHEREAS, certain territories
referred to as "Upper Bay Annex"
and "First Addition to Irvine Ter-
race Annex" have been annexed to
the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, the territory re-
ferred to as "Upper Bay Annex"
is adjacent to the Third District - - - --
and Fourth District; and
WHEREAS, the territory refer -as'
red to as "First Addition to Irvine
Terrace Annex" is adjacent to the O
Seventh District; Sl
NOW, THEREFORE, the City
Council of the City of Newport 1
Beach does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That the territory
referred to as "Upper Bay Annex"
be divided and added to the Third
District and Fourth District.
.That the Third District design -:

of the City of Newport Beach shall
include all that portion of the
City Included within the following
described boundary line, to wit:
Beginning at the intersection
of the center line of State
Highway ORA -43 -A and the
center line of State Highway
ORA -60 -A; thence easterly
along said center line of said
State Highway ORA -60 -A and
the center line of State High-
way ORA -60 -B to an intersec-
tion with the southeasterly
prolongation of the Court De-
cree line between Stationsl6 -B
and 17, as described in the
court decree established by Su-
perior Como Case No. 20436
of the Superior Court in and
for the County of Orange,

northwesterly along said south-
easterly prolongation to an in-
tersection with the northerly
line of said State Highway

and the same shall be in full force
and effect 30 days after this
passage.

ance was introduced at a regular)
meeting of the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach held on
the 28th day of November, 1955.
