ING SECTION 4243 TO THE
NEWPORT BEACH ITUNICI-
PAAL CODE. RELATC NG TQ
MAKING FALSE REFORTS
TO POLICE
The City Council of the City of
Newport Beach does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. - Section 4213 is
added to the Newport Beach's
Municipal Code to read:
"SECTION 4243- Falnc
Report to Police- No person
shall willfully make any
false, misleading or un-
founded report to the Police
Department of the City for
the purpose of discrediting a.
police, officer, interfering
with the operation of the
Police Department., or mis-
leading any police officer in
the performance of his offici-
al duties -"
SECTION 2- This ordinance
shall be published once in the of-:
ficial newspaper of the City, and
the same ehall be effective 30
days after the date of its adop-
tion -

at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Newport
Beach held on the 22nd day of
