AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ADDING
SECTION 11.08.070 TO CHAPTER 11.08 OF THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE REMOVAL OF
BEACH SAND FROM PUBLIC BEACHES
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 11.08.070 is added to Chapter 11.08
of the Newport Beach Municipal Code to read:
"11.08.070 Removal of Beach Sand. No person shall
remove any sand from any public beach within the City, unless
he shall have first obtained the written approval of the City
Manager if the quantity of beach sand to be removed does not
exceed five (5) cubic yards or the approval of the City Council
if the quantity to be removed exceeds five (5) cubic yards."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effective
30 days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 26th day
of qNtetnber a 1966, and was adopted on the 10th day
of October , 1966, by the following vote, to wit:

NOES, COUNCILMEN: none
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: now
