AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
ADOPTING DISTRICT MAP N0, 61 AND PREZONIN
UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY ADJACENT TO THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH IN THE EVENT OF
SUBSEQUENT ANNEXATION
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The map designated DISTRICTING MAP CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH CALIFORNIA is hereby amended by adding thereto
Map No. 61, three copies of which are on file in the office of
the City Clerk, which map is hereby adopted by reference
pursuant to Section 415 of the Charter and is made a part
of Title 20 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code in accordance
with Section 20.06.030 thereof.
SECTION 2. The following described real property
which is unincorporated territory adjoining the City of Newport
Beach, County of Orange, State of California, to wit:
Zone C -1 -H
Begat the intersection of the centerline
of Campus Drive (formerly Acacia Street) with the
Northwesterly prolongation of the Southwesterly line
of Tract No. 3201 as shown on a map thereof, recorded
in Book 130,Page 25 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of
Orange County; thence Southeasterly 330.00 feet
along said Southwesterly line to the Northeasterly
prolongation of the Southeasterly line of Lots 81
and 79, Tract 706, as shown on a map thereof recorded
in Book 21, Page 25 of Miscellaneous Maps; thence
Southwesterly 446.00 feet along said prolongation
and Southeasterly line to the most Southerly
corner of Lot 79; thence Northwesterly 330.00 feet
along the Southwesterly line of Lot 79 and its pro -
longation to the centerline of Acacia Street; thence
Northeasterly 446.00 feet -along said centerline to
the point of beginning,

Beginn ng.at the intersection of the centerlines
of Orchard Drive and Acacia Street as shown on a map
of Tract No. 706 recorded in Book 21, Page 25 of

Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, State
of California; thence Northeasterly 924.00 feet
along the centerline of Acacia Street to an inter-
section with the Northwesterly prolongation of the
Northeasterly line of Lot 78, Tract No. 706; thence
Southeasterly 330.00 feet along said prolongation
and Northeasterly line to the Easterly corner of
Lot 78; thence Southwesterly 924.00 feet along the
Southeasterly line of Lots 78 through 72 and the
Southwesterly prolongation thereof to the center-
line of Orchard Drive; thence Northwesterly 330.00
feet along the centerline of Orchard Drive to the
point of beginning,
more commonly known as all of the par
westerly half of the block bounded by
Avenue (Acacia Street), Orchard Drive
shown on'District Map No. 61 referred
ordinance and made a part of Title 20
Municipal Code, the Northeasterly 366

prezoned -to a C -1 -H district and the remainder of the area is
hereby prezoned to an A -P -H district in accordance with
California Government Code, Section 65859, which provides
that a city may prezone unincorporated territory for the
purpose of determining the zoning that will apply to such
property in the event of subsequent annexation to the city.
SECTION 3. The zoning of this territory as
C -1-H and A -P -H Districtsshall become effective only if the
annexation of that portion of the unincorporated territory
as described in Section 2 of this ordinance is completed and
shall have the same effective date as said annexation.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be published once
in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective 30 days after the date of its adoption.

This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 27th
day of July , 1970, and was adopted on the loth day
of August , 1970, by the following vote, to wit:
